BRIAN DOLZANI

Singer/songwriter Brian Dolzani’s intrigue and obsession with Neil Young’s music happened in High School when he turned on to the entire tone of classic rock. ‘Among all this music I suddenly loved and needed, I knew Neil was special to me. The high & lonesome, mourning voice, the otherworldly lyrics…it was the world I wanted to be in’. As Brian’s own songwriting developed, he has always looked to Neil for inspiration.

‘In my teens I introjected Neil’s sound out of pure love and relation, and it’s just the way I sing’, Brian explains. ‘Neil’s approach to songwriting and being an artist has always been my North Star’.

Over the last 20 years, Brian has made acclaim for himself as a talented, well-traveled, and prolific artist, releasing 10 original independent albums. His Neil Young covers in his own shows always stand out and grab listener’s attention, as Brian’s voice is remarkably similar in tone to Mr. Young’s.

It’s in this spirit that Brian Dolzani has launched a solo tribute show called ‘Brian Dolzani as The Loner: The Music of Neil Young’. This is not just a cover show. Brian channels Neil to the amazement of listeners: ‘Man, I close my eyes and I’m listening to Neil himself, It’s remarkable’, is the sentiment of everyone who hears Brian sing Neil.

Each of Brian’s Loner shows feature a different setlist. He chooses from the hits, of course, plus a select number of rarer songs that thrill Neil fans of all levels and keep them coming back. Brian also includes a few of his own songs in each show that shows the audience all sides of this multi-faceted, unique and deeply resonant artist.

The Loner shows are performed solo by Brian on acoustic guitar, harmonica, and piano/organ, and of course, the distinct and striking vocals. At Space Ballroom, Brian will be joined by his band for a rocking Crazy Horse second set.
