For almost four decades, XTC fans could only dream of witnessing the sensational XTC classic songbook played live. That dream has now become a reality. XTC’s legendary drummer, Terry Chambers, is back on the road with his band EXTC (named and approved by XTC frontman, Andy Partridge).
Emerging out of the post-punk and new-wave explosion of the late 70s. XTC experienced global success, touring with the likes of The Police and Talking Heads. Sadly, their legions of loyal fans would be left in limbo, when in 1982 XTC stopped touring, becoming a studio- based entity.
Now, forty years on, those loyal fans can once again experience all the XTC classics performed live to audiences across the globe. EXTC– XTCs Terry Chambers and friends take you on a journey through time as they work their way through the XTC back catalog including the hits, Senses Working Overtime, Making Plans for Nigel, Sgt Rock, Life Begins at the Hop, Dear God, Mayor of Simpleton, and many more!
EXTC–XTCs Terry Chambers and Friends capture all the raw energy and hype of XTC’s heyday, with their sensational energetic live performances. EXTC honors the legacy of XTC’s past, as it shapes its own future, with new material already in the works.
Alongside Terry, EXTC features frontman Steve Hampton (lead vocal & guitar - Joe Jackson, The Vapors and Dead Crow Road) and Terry Lines (bass & vocals – The Rams and Dead Crow Road).
THE SHELLYE VALAUSKAS EXPERIENCE
Based in the New Haven area, Shellye Valauskas & Dean Falcone write meticulously crafted power pop songs, with an emphasis on “power.” The songs hearken back to the finer moments of the 1970’s and 1980’s and are filled with sparkling melodies powered by sharp and often jangly electric guitars; think Big Star, The Raspberries and Aimee Mann. The latest release, History of Panic, is a collection of catchy choruses, swirly guitars and melodies that instantly draw you in and satisfy on every level.
In addition to Valauskas and Falcone, the current line up of the band includes Brian Stevens (Cavedogs) on bass, Rich Dart (The Monkees) on drums and Bruce Crowder on keys and percussion.
